THE PAST IS AS AMBIGUOUS AS THE FUTURE

Description:

Three-thousand three-hundred and twenty-two wine and champagne corks, painted white and adorned with Delft blue inspired design.  The corks are strung together on individual strands and suspended from individual hooks with fishing line.

The corks play on the notion that inebriation has effected our recollection of the past.  Delft blue is referenced to represent history.  The piece is floating and able to sway to express the kinetic perception of reality.
